As you pray each day this week reflect on these words and pray these words into the lives of each of our leaders:

“Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.       Philippians 2:1-2 NASB

As we pray with thanksgiving for the Christmas celebration of the South Asian Community Church, held December 16th that saw over 100 community quests attending and a clear presentation of the gospel, we lift up the River Community in Richmond as they conduct their Christmas gathering in Steveston on December 23RD.  Pray for the fruit of the gospel presentation to be evident and the follow-up with each person will be timely and compassionate.

Pray for the father of Conrad Au who is currently scheduled to undergo surgery on December 20th to repair an aortic aneurism.  As you pray for the doctor who will perform the surgery, Pray the Lord will soften his father’s spiritual heart to better hear Jesus during this season.  Pray also for the comfort and empowering of the Holy Spirit in the life of Conrad as he ministers to his family.

As we pray for the Christmas Eve services held all over the city, let us call out for the movement of God through the prepared hearts of leaders in each of our churches as they welcome people and proclaim the truth in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us also pray for the families of our leaders who will be traveling over the holiday and allow their return to be marked by refreshment and joy. For those who will remain on the field of service, May their hearts be filled with the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit and may the families be drawn closer to each other and their church family.
