As you pray each day this week reflect on these words and pray these words into the lives of each of our leaders:

“Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.       Philippians 2:1-2 NASB

As we pray with thanksgiving for the Christmas celebration of the South Asian Community Church, held December 16th that saw over 100 community quests attending and a clear presentation of the gospel, we lift up the River Community in Richmond as they conduct their Christmas gathering in Steveston on December 23RD.  Pray for the fruit of the gospel presentation to be evident and the follow-up with each person will be timely and compassionate.

Join us in prayer for the application for permanent residence status in Canada for the family of Pastor GilNam Yoon who are serving in Victoria.  This status needs to be granted in the next few months. This is impacting the ability of his three children to begin university in Canada in a timely manner.

Pray for the wife of Pastor Byeonghee Choi who is battling cancer and has been forced to remain in Korea while immigration status is obtained allowing her to join her husband on the field.  They have been forced to live in separate countries until this status is approved.  This could take another six month to complete.  He is praying thankfully for the ability to lovingly care for his wife daily. Pray for health, courage to fulfill the calling of God on their lives and the comfort of the Spirit as they walk this journey.

Pray for Bibles to be provided to Ben Yoblanski for his ministry as a chaplain to the first responders, primarily police and fire, on Vancouver Island based in the Duncan area.

We are praying for the next location for Canvas Church on Bear Mountain in Langford area of Victoria on Vancouver Island.  The deadline is March 19, 2018.  We are desiring to see the hand of God provide this much-needed place in such a way He is glorified.  Pray also for the favour of city officials as Canvas seeks a parcel of land which would be a long term home for the congregation as they seek to launch more churches on Vancouver Island and across the Lower Mainland.  Join us in praying for the move and immigration in early January of the Mike Blackaby family.  Pray for favour at the border as well as resources and timing of this critical move.

Pray for Moses Seo as he seeks wisdom from God to reach the First Nations people of the southern half of Vancouver Island.  Pray also for the financial resources to provide for his family as he launches full-time into this ministry.

Pray for a permanent full-time pastor for Westlynn Baptist Church.  Pray for their search committee as they seek the person God has called for this critical church on the North Shore.

Pray for wisdom and direction from the Lord as the Royal Heights Baptist Church as they make decisions on the path they will take regarding the property of the Church.  Pray the decisions will bring glory and honour to God and open doors to effective outreach and discipleship of the Church.

Pray for the father of Conrad Au who is currently scheduled to undergo surgery on December 20th to repair an aortic aneurism.  As you pray for the doctor who will perform the surgery, Pray the Lord will soften his father’s spiritual heart to better hear Jesus during this season.  Pray also for the comfort and empowering of the Holy Spirit in the life of Conrad as he ministers to his family.

Pray for the successful move and immigration into Canada for the family of Jeff Lowery as they prepare to come in early February to take the position as lead planter for The Cornerstone in White Rock.  Pray for Earl and Meridith Grisaffe as they continue their ministry of reach White Rock and as they partner with Jeff and Olivia.  Grant these couples mutual respect, patience, courage and wisdom as they build their team.

As we pray for the Christmas Eve services held all over the city, let us call out for the movement of God through the prepared hearts of leaders in each of our churches as they welcome people and proclaim the truth in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us also pray for the families of our leaders who will be traveling over the holiday and allow their return to be marked by refreshment and joy. For those who will remain on the field of service, May their hearts be filled with the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit and may the families be drawn closer to each other and their church family.
