The Stages Storylines
How to help students and others become firm in the faith.
Saturday, March 5, 2016 9am - noon
Vancouver Chinese Baptist Church
Paul Johnson from the CNBC will be in Vancouver on March 5th to lead a workshop designed to give people an understanding and plan of how others can follow Jesus and how they can inspire and assist them in that journey. Paul is an excellent communicator and is the CNBC Team Leader for Church Strengthening and New Disciple-Makers.
Students stop following Christ at alarming rates. Adults too. Storylines are designed to arrest this attrition by training young Believers in practical ways to become Disciples and DiscipleMakers. The Storyline gives a plot to the story - a map for the journey - as a Christian moves through the stages of growth. The goal of Storylines is to develop Christians who are strong, God’s word lives in your hearts and you have won your battle with the evil one. (1 John 2.14c).
The Storyline seminar will explain how a Believer grows in Head (things to know), Heart (things to feel) and Hand (things to do) in order to become a Disciple. Same for a Disciple becoming a DiscipleMaker, what Head, Heart and Hands looks like. The seminar will feature training in both life-on-life and small group dynamics, so the participants can learn to say to those they disciple: you set the pace, I know how to get you there.
