Will you partner with our family of churches/church plants in praying for these things the week of September 2, 2018:

We are continuing to prayer for the outreach on our collegiate campuses throughout the region:

Pray for Suzanne Perry as she reaches out to international students on the campus of the University of British Columbia

* Pray that God will assemble the right people for the upcoming spiritual “journey”
* Pray that many international students will meet Jesus and be saved in the upcoming year
* Pray that the Holy Spirit will fill me with everything needed for another transcontinental “journey” as I welcome and engage with people from every country you can think of
* Pray that God will protect and provide throughout this year’s “voyage”

Pray for the Origin Church(Craig and Ellen Obrien) as they engage students in gospel conversations during the critical early days of their time on campus.   Pray for the launching of their Alpha Course on Friday, September 21, as a next step to furthering the conversation about Jesus. Pray for the love of Christ to be evident in the lives of each person actively serving on the campus. Pray for the regular worship time on the morning of September 23rd when whey will be joined by the president of the University, Dr. Santo Ono, to continue their focus on Friends, Faith and the Campus.

Pray for the Point Church (Victor and Candice Thomas) as they have multiple events over the next two weeks to engage students and build community on their campus.  Pray specifically for the September 12 launch date of their community life groups where students will find a community of care and learn how faith can impact every aspect of life.

Pray for the Movement Church Plant (Kelly & Jeannie Manire) in Abbotsford as they continue building relationships in their community with the 25 neighbours who joined them for a BBQ tonight.  They are continuing their Sunday evening gathering for those seeking a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Pray for the launch of their fall Alpha Course on the campus of FVU as they hold their first interest meeting this week.

We are praying for the Family of Nancy Ingold.  Her father passed away this week in Bellingham, WA as her mother continues to recover from major surgery at home.  Paul has had a recurrence of the detached retina and will undergo surgery tomorrow morning at 9:00am in Vancouver to attempt to repair his eye and restore his sight.  Their children are launching their university at California Baptist University this fall in Southern California.  Pray for the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit as well as the power to provide strength to walk this journey.  Please look for ways to support and encourage this family.

Pray for our Chaplain to the RCMP and Fire Departments on Vancouver Island, Ben Yoblanski, their daughter in Creston is expecting their first child. The hospital for the birth is in Cranbrook which is an hour and a half drive away.  Pray for the protection and timing of this birth.  As you are praying for Ben, lift up the need for a videographer to film some of the work they are doing to share with partners and interested people.

Pray for weekend of outreach being conducted by Canvas Oak Bay in partnership with two teams.  They have been preparing for the Family Festival held this weekend for several months.  We ask you to join us in praying for growing church as they meet on Sunday for their next service.  Pray for Mike Blackaby as he prepares for this important time of worship.

SYC has been a great experience for the youths once again this year. Besides messages from our speakers Josh Arrington and Cesar Parts, we were greatly encouraged by powerful stories from different people who underwent great tragedies in their lives, from the loss of their loved ones to experiencing traumas. The youths responded well, many of whom were rejuvenated to live their lives to let the Gospels flow through those around. We hope that this will be the start of something we hope to build upon as we established a culture among youths in our family of churches.
