Pray with Thanksgiving…

We are thankful for the testimony of the salvation of a high school student in Richmond that came as a direct answer to the praywalking of the pastor around his campus.

We are thankful for the registration of a new Spanish-speaking congregation in our association planted by Ivan Montenegro in Surrey.

We are thankful for the continuing prayer meetings on Thursday evening in Port Moody in preparation for the development of life groups and worship in 2016 for NextGen Church led by Sam Woo Kim.

We are thankful for the Church planting team from Linh-An Vietnamese Church led by Phillip Tran as they ministered and prayed over the region in Victoria were they have launched a Bible study with five families with a desire to plant a new church on the island. Pray for their major outreach planned for December 12th in Victoria.

We are thankful for the 45 leaders who spent the day with Pastor Johnny Hunt at the Timothy Barnabas Conference learning to build and use influence God has given to reach their communities.
We are thankful for the new group reaching out to Brazilians that is gathering in the home of Rafael and Sara Aquilar as they work with Urban Village Church to launch this new outreach.

We are thankful that the Bonds from Ekklesia as they were able to spend time with partners in Texas this past week.

Pray for the activity of God…

We join the world in praying for the people of Paris who have experienced an overwhelming tragedy this week at the hands of terrorists. May the people of France know the presence and power of God in Jesus Christ as they face the days ahead. May our brothers and sisters in Christ be strengthened and enlightened to be a witness for our Lord in their homes. May our hearts be focused on the lordship of Christ as we speak and share with those in our communities.

Please pray for leaders, pastors, and planters across the city of Vancouver and especially for the staff team of The Point – Victor and Candice Thomas, Sam and Annie Kim, Josh and Lucy Smith, and Kim Simpson.  Pray for encouragement and daily reminders of God’s call on their lives and His activity in this city.  Pray that they would “not grow weary of doing good” and that they would be strengthened each day.

Pray for the Marriage Retreats being carried out next weekend on Vancouver Island sponsored by Canvas Church. Pray for the growth of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ for the families involved as well as growth in their marriages. Pray also for the couples that will be involved on Monday-Tuesday in Vancouver as the event will be repeated jointly sponsored by Canvas and the Association. Pray for the wisdom and insight of the leaders as they guide these events.

Please pray for the family of Lindy Mabry, student missionary with River Community, as her grandfather is critically ill. Pray for her grandfather comfort and the experience of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Pray for the wisdom to make decisions in these critical days.

Please pray for the partnership meetings that will be taking place this week as teams finalize support for the next year. Pray specifically for the Broken Arrow leaders who will be in town on Monday and for meetings planned with the pastors of the Lubbock Baptist Association. We ask for pray for a new planter from Pakistan who is building his prayer and support team to move to Vancouver in January 2016.

Pray for all of the churches as they begin preparation and outreach through Christmas dinners, community celebrations and the personal evangelism of members during this season of the year.

We are praying for Seng and Nai Lor (Mein Church) as they return to Thailand this fall to guide a marriage enrichment conference for over 150 couples as well as spend time with family. Pray for the planning and travel as each couple makes their way to this important gathering.

Pray these words over our cities…

A clean heart and a right spirit are the beginning points of joy and ministry. Please pray these words over the leaders of our city during this week.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from your presence,

and take not your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,

and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Then I will teach transgressors your ways,

and sinners will return to you.
