Each Day at 10:02 am/pm each day, we ask you to pray for God to call out workers for the harvest. The work is hard and people are facing challenges of all kinds. We ask you to join us.
Allow yourself to be guided by these words as if you are hearing personally the voice of each of our leaders calling out to you.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
– Ephesians 6:18-20
PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING…
We continue celebrating reports from Easter weekend as we heard the report from Ekklesia which saw over 150 come to a block party in a new area of the community on Thursday with several of the new families from this event joining on Good Friday with over 250 in attendance. God continues to work as they look to a mission trip in Nepal.
We also celebrate the care given by the counselor team from Hardin Simmons to over 20 families in four sites around our Association. They were also able to join one of River Community in providing community support to families and children that had experienced the death of a young teen in a family home fire during the week.
We celebrate the return of Rhonda Forlow from the mission trip to a South African orphanage to provide educational planning and care to the children. We continue to pray for the children.
We celebrate the baptism of another person at The Common Place today and the beginning of a Sunday evening gathering beginning in May.
We celebrate the visit of youth leaders who participated in the site visit this week for the P2 week of training and church planting which will be guided by Josh Arrington. Pray for Josh’s preparation and the travel of young people to come and serve in Vancouver in July.
PRAY FOR THE ACTIVITY OF GOD…
We continue praying for an additional $200K for a down payment on a church hub location for the Point Church that would provide housing for their growing staff as well as a training location for the church that is near rapid transit to all of their sites and new church plants.
We are praying for the Associational Gathering planned for Thursday evening for all of our churches. Please pray for the worship team and those sharing where God is at work. We are praying for renewed vision and encouragement for each person participating in this semi-annual meeting.
We continue praying for the leaders and their wives that are planning now for a spiritual retreat April 26-28 to Barnabas on Keats Island to strengthen and encourage the couples attending. We are praying for each of the 26 places to be filled and each couple to not only to rest well but to be spiritually lifted.
We are praying for clarity in the assessment and calling of leaders to launch new churches in the SEND Vancouver region among the Hispanic speaking peoples and the immigrants from Pakistan. Pray for continued interviews this week.
We are praying for the final development of a working strategy for rebuilding The Potter’s House in Kelowna as well as the development of partners to support this plan of this important church.
We are praying for our summer student missionaries and the Gen Send team’s preparation for the work planned this summer in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. Pray for Jessica Holmes and Jeff Phillips as they talk with local leaders about new church plant sites over the next two weeks. We also pray for The Point Team headed for Columbus to serve for several weeks. Pray specifically for Kim Simpson as she guides the team to Columbus.
We are praying for the Woman’s retreat coming May 2-3 at Rivendale. Please joins in praying for the times of building relationships with God and each person. Pray for the Spirit to move during these days.
