PRAYVANCOUVER.CA 2017-06-04

Pray this morning for the pastors and leaders as they are gearing up for busy summers of outreach. Pray for a return to a focus on “first love” and the priority of His Kingdom.  Pray for endurance in each church as struggles and temptation are faced this week.  May these words of Jesus guide our lives and work this week.

“I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.”

 We are thankful for the announcement by Zona Cero they are launching their second site (Punto Norte) in Coquitlam this month.

We are thankful for the sixteen leaders who gathered last Monday to continue development of our coaching support team.  Pray for Matthew Bond as he guides this critical system of our church planting areas.

We are thankful for the WestCoast Baptist Association training program organized by Hamish Buntain yesterday in Richmond.  Over 80 individuals participated in the UnStuck Conference.

We are praying for the follow-up by Church on the Rock on the engagement through the Pitt Meadows Day activities yesterday.  Pray as they launch their summer camps.  Pray for the team of interns joining them this summer.

We are praying for the interns who have arrived for the summer at The Point.  We are praying for their development and growth as they serve alongside the staff and in the community.

We are praying for the orientation this weekend for the GenSend students coming to work in Vancouver in the Langara College area as well as Richmond in City Center.  Pray for Jessica Holmes as she guides these seven students for the next two months.

Begin to pray for the Canadian National Baptist Convention coming on July 7-8.  Pray for the movement of God in the hearts of the participants as well as the affirmation of a common shared vision across Canada.  Pray for the leadership as final decisions are made.  Pray for the gathering of churches in Vancouver as well as a heart to seek the lost.
