Pray VancouverEach Day at 10:02 am/pm, we ask you to pray for God to call out workers for the harvest.  The work is hard and people are facing challenges of all kinds.  Please pray these words will be a reality in our time.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
– Psalms 1:1-2 (NASB)

PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING…

  • We are celebrating the work of the Harvest Baptist Association team that is working with the Zendeh Church in a special celebration service this Sunday evening.  They are expecting over 150 guests for this celebration.  Please pray for the salvation of the attendees and the growth of all participants.

PRAY FOR THE ACTIVITY OF GOD…

  • We continue pray for Hamish Buntain as he travels in key parts of Asia during this week to better understand the countries and their cultures as well as comprehend activity of God as it connects with Vancouver.  We pray for the relationships that are being developed and the doors for partnerships that are being opened.
  • We pray for the members of the Harvest Baptist Association team that will return early on Monday morning.  They are requesting pray as they communicate their experience with those from their home churches. There is special prayer requested for the Southside Baptist Church in Jacksboro, TX.
  • We pray for God’s favour with Matthew and Heather Bond (Ekklesia) as they share with the students at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary the vision and work of church planting in our area during the days of their trip this week.
  • We pray for the work of the Mission Team actively working with Church on the Rock in Pitt Meadows and initiating efforts to plant a new congregation in Maple Ridge.  We pray for the planter coming to lead that work as he raises his financial and prayer support for the future ministry in Canada.
  • We pray for the family of Orlando Rodas, pastor of Primera Eglesia Bautista, as he grieves the loss of his brother during past few weeks.  We also pray for Chad, the cousin of Garrett Holmes (Towers Baptist Church), who has just received the diagnosis of stage four cancer that is inoperable.
  • We pray for the reFocus retreat directed by the team for the Tarrant County Association in Fort Worth.  We ask that the preparation of the leaders and the participants will draw them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and grant them a deeper understanding of his activity in our region.
  • We pray for the upcoming Vision Tour coming from the Baptist General Convention of Texas which will be held starting March 30.  We ask specific pray for efforts to support Primera Bautista and Zona Cero in their multiplication efforts.
  • We pray for the interns currently making application and raising financial support who will be join the ministry team at the Canvas Church on Vancouver Island and the team at The Point in Burnaby.
  • We continue to pray for Pastor Hyeon Soo Lim from Toronto and his family as they continue seeking his release from North Korea.  The family and the church community is asking fellow Canadians and the international community to continue praying for his release and safe return home.  Peter Yoon (Origin Church) attended this church when he lived in Toronto.
