PRAYVANCOUVER.CA 2016-01-30
We are gathering a team of prayer warriors to pray for Vancouver and vancouver Island every day at 10:02 am and pm. We are seeking revival among our churches and transformation of our City as people are brought into the Kingdom of God. Our desire is to:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 ESV
Join us in praying over the activity of God…
Pray today for the leaders and the messages that are being preached from the pulpits of our churches across our region. Pray the Father would drive the scripture deep into the heart of each individual that the message might come with power through a transformed life. Pray that the evil one would be bound and the Spirit would illuminate the truth of every word shared. Pray specifically for Ashley Austin at Canvas as he brings a message from Matthew 6:1-18 and praying for Jesus to build these life giving rhythms in more and more of the friends of the church.
Pray for the journey of the Thomas family to South Africa for a time with family and refreshment. Pray for the health and well being of Victor’s father and the strengthening and encouragement of his mother during this season of life. Pray for The Point team as they pick-up the responsibilities and prepare for the upcoming Vancouver Project as well as meet with potential partners to expand to their four sites.
Pray for those coming to the Church Planter Family Camp this weekend as they explore the truth of Scripture about discipleship and evangelism for each person in their family and the community. Pray that relationships will be strengthened as we enjoy meals and time together. Pray for Tim and Amy Corbin as they lead the times of worship. Pray we focus on the person of Jesus in every way for the sake of the Kingdom.
Continue to pray for Henry Kwok and Patsy Woodard as they complete preparations for the upcoming financial audit for our association. Pray this process will make us stronger and better as an organization that seeks to honor our Lord with integrity and character in everything we do.
Pray for Kumar Bhujel as he seeks to reach the Bhutanese/Napali people of Vancouver. Pray for his work hours to provide the resources to allow him to continue building the congregation of 30+ meeting in North Burnaby. Pray for his encouragement in the Spirit.
Pray for Mark MacDonald as he leads Gateway Baptist Church. Pray the Father would give him wisdom and encouragement to build a unifying vision among the leaders in Surrey. Pray for the protection of his heart and the heart of his family as he leads.
Pray for Matthew Bond (Ekklesia) as hew walks with God in guiding the church forward. Pray for the refreshment to his heart and encouragement from the Scripture that will bring continued transformation in the rhythms of his life. Pray for wisdom as he seeks to guide our coaching network.
Please pray with Gratitude…
We are praying with overwhelming gratitude for the leaders God has called to our churches and to reach the city for Christ. We ask the Father to provide care and guidance in their lives. We ask the Father to bind the evil one from overwhelming them and wisdom for them to make the right choices.
We are very thankful for the safety of the Trevor Josh Family (Pastor of Cityview) and the Alfred Tsai Family (Pastor of Richmond Chinese Baptist Church) during their home invasion and robberies this week. While both homes were damaged and the losses were great, the family members were not involved physically. We are praying for the families and their continued care as homes are being repaired. We pray for the investigation and apprehension of those involved.
We are thankful for the involvement of Shaun Lynch and Jeff Phillips in the recent new church planter’s orientation in Atlanta.
We are thankful for God’s affirmation on the calling of six different planters for the Northwest and Canada through the final assessment event held this week in Seattle. We are thankful for the affirmation given to Kelly and Jeanne Manire as they make plans to launch in the Fraser Valley. Please be praying for the partnership development phase for this critical plant.
