Pray with Thanksgiving…
We are thankful for the reported baptism at Ekklesia this month.
We are thankful for the favour received from the Lord and the Canadian government as two more church planters/pastors crossed the border this week receiving the required status to begin working in Kelowna and in Maple Ridge. Pray for places for each family to live in the communities to which they are called to serve.
We are thankful for the three churches that came for vision tours to discover where God was working locally and in their own churches to launch new partnerships in Vancouver. We ask you to pray for another church that will visit this week.
We are thankful for 26 international and local advocates that gathered for updates on the work in each of their regions, to seek to plan in teams composed of local and international advocates for the expansion of the Kingdom in their regions and to spend time in concentrated prayer for the people and churches in their regions. Special thanks are offered for the leadership of Hamish Buntain as he guided this effort.
We are thankful for the pastor from Bejing who visited this week and shared the burden to be a sending church from China for possible church plants by his church among immigrants from his church in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
We are thankful for the new apprentice that is seeking to plant a church in the Mt. Pleasant/Olympic Village area and for a sending church that will support this effort. Pray as they seek to develop a covenant relationship with a network of churches which will be supporting this effort.
We are thankful for the prayer meeting of 8 people this week that has been launched to develop a core group of praying people for the formation of NextGen Church in Port Moody.
Pray for the activity of God…
We are praying for the sister of Jiyoon Harris who is battling the last stages of cancer in Korea. We pray as the family gathers there will be a comforting presence of God’s Spirit to walk through these difficult days. We pray specifically for Jiyoon as she visits this week.
We are praying for the leadership of Conrad Au as he seeks as a bi-vocational pastor to lead The Common Place in the next steps of growth,
We are praying for the leadership of The Point Church this week as they seek to follow-up on several who have visiting the church in the past weeks. We pray also for wisdom to provide comfort in times of great violence, sadness and trouble that have occurred in the neighbourhoods of their people.
We are praying for the faithful financial giving of our Vietnamese church in order that they can pay all of their bills and launch into the plan for mission giving they are committed to start. Pray the entire mission giving through the Cooperative Program and to WestCoast Baptist Association would become a priority for each body in our association.
We are praying for the Mission Team departing for Cambodia from Towers Baptist Church/Richmond Chinese Baptist Church. We are praying for courage and endurance to be faithful witnesses to the Gospel. We pray also for their outreach to the children in the orphanage they will be serving. Pray for their health to be maintained.
We are praying for the recovery Dr. Dan Crawford as he battles a virus that has caused him to loose 8 lbs so far this week.
We are praying for multiple leaders who have visited our city this week as they return home to their churches and report on what they saw. Please pray that there would be those called to missions and partnership through the sharing of these leaders.
We are praying for the pastors who will gather this week at Cedar Springs for a time of spiritual renewal and refocus joined by leaders from Tarrant County Association. Pray God will affirm his calling in the lives of these men and the direction of their future ministry.
We are continuing to pray for the leaders seeking permanent immigration status in our country. We pray for the financial resources and wisdom to make wise decisions at every point with lawyers and government officials.
We are praying for a leader from Pakistan who will is completing the assessment process the end of this month as he visits Vancouver from Toronto. Pray the Father will give him eyes to see the place where he should begin work and for people of peace to help in reaching those he is led to reach.
We are praying for the launch of the Awana program this week by Ekklesia as they seek to follow-up on families reached this summer during camps. Pray for the continued sustain presence of God in the lives of the local leaders who will guide this program.
We are joining a Church planter on Vancouver Island who is praying for wisdom and courage as he builds the churches leadership team for the next season of growth.
