We are thankfully waiting for the final reports from River Community who held their final youth night of the summer with the expectation of seeing 50 people from the community coming for the BBQ.

We are thankful for the continuing recovery of Jacob Pulgarin and the faith that has been demonstrated by him through these days of trail and pain.

We are thankful for the work of the GenSend students who discovered and initiated six (6) new sites and mapped three(3) more in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. Pray for the leaders that God will call out to build these new core groups and launch new churches.

Pray for the activity of God…

We are praying for the upcoming joint family camp being held this weekend in Squamish for the congregations of Richmond Chinese Baptist Church and Towers Baptist Church. Pray for the speakers and leaders to have hearts open to the transforming work of the Spirit during the days together. Pray the unity of those participating will be enhanced by each event.

We are praying for the family of Dr. Wong of Coquitlam Chinese Baptist Church who passed away this past week. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday afternoon of this week. .

We continue to pray for the healing of broken relationships created over the past two years in one of our churches as the legal proceedings grind to an end. We pray for the priority witness of Christ each day as publications report findings.

We continue to pray for the Summer Youth Celebration and the over 150 young people who will travel to Gordom Lake the last week in August. This week we pray for hearts to be radically transformed and turned to Jesus Christ through this week of study, proclamation and recreation. We pray for wisdom in the final preparations for this important annual event.

We begin praying for 4 new planters that are currently in the final stages of preparation for their move to launch congregations in our province. We pray for the prayer teams that will be needed to undergird each new site as well as the partnerships that will be needed to encourage and finance the work. We pray for God’s favour in developing both of these critical resources.

We pray for the over 15 leaders already committed to visiting our city during the month of September for vision tours to discover a congregation and site where they can establish a long term partnership.

Pray these words over our cities…

This week as you spend time in personal prayer may we ask you to pray for the leaders of our region to receive this portion of Scripture and allow it to transform their lives as they experience the answer to this prayer.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:9-12 ESV

We thank you for praying for the items listed on this pray post whenever you have the opportunity to pray. As we continue to plant all kinds of churches in all kinds of spaces for all kinds of people, we invite you to join many of us each day at 10:02 am/pm, as we pause briefly wherever we are to pray for God to call out workers for the harvest in the manner of Luke 10:2.
