Pray with Thanksgiving…

We are thankful for the reports coming in from the P2 training and ministry that took place in Maple Ridge, Coquitlam and Richmond as sports camps, community service and prayer walking prepared the soil to launch new plants and engage lostness.

We are thankful for the reports of baptisms taking place at the Canvas Church last Sunday, the Wednesday BBQ at the Point and at Royal Heights Baptist Church.

We are thankful for the engagement of communities taking place through the GenSend students working on nine (9) different locations in our region. Pray for the final presentations by the students that will be given this week as we pray for planters to go into each area.

We are thankful for the reports coming in of outreach camps and VBS across the city involving many families who have not been touched by the gospel. Pray for the follow-up being prepared this week for work that took place in Richmond, Surrey, Vancouver, Sydney and Langford BC.

We are thankful for the church summer camps held for Coquitlam Chinese Baptist Church last weekend at Cedar Springs. Many were encouraged and challenged in their faith.

We are thankful for these reports from Ekklesia:

  • Three girls from our camps began talking with our volunteers and their parents about becoming Christians and attending church.  This is fantastic as they heard the gospel everyday after the camps. I have followed up with all three families and am praying for the opportunity to meet with each in their home.
  • We have also been notified by one of the moms that here son has accepted Christ.  Here is a text we received from her on Sunday:

“Just wanted to share my son came back home Friday and said “mommy coach Joseph talked about Jesus coming into our hearts” (he’s always asked me about this and I’ve explained it the best I could…but something clicked that day and he asked if Jesus is still in his heart. To which I replied that in order for Jesus to live in us we have to invite him into our heart to stay. Then he asked how to do this so I said well you pray about it. So he said “mommy can we pray right now”… Brought me to tears! You guys are awesome and such a Gift from God! xoxo please share!!”

Pray for the activity of God…

We are praying for the three camps being held this week in Sydney, BC through Ekklesia Church. Pray for the authentic witness of the leaders of these camps that will lead the participants to trust Christ with their lives.

We are praying for the complete recovery of Jacob Pulgarin who has been hospitalized in serious condition for the past week. He suffered a major reaction to a medication he was given at the hospital where he was taken from the Zona Cero Family camp and VBS. We are praying also for his family.

We are praying for Dr. Wong of Coquitlam Chinese Baptist Church who has been hospitalized with pneumonia.

We are praying for the leaders of six of our churches as they gather Monday night with Dr. Dan Morgan to begin training in the principles of becoming multiplying churches.

We are praying for the meetings between potential partners and churches leaders from Missouri arriving Monday, July 27th, to begin a vision tour of Vancouver.

We are praying for the final week and debriefing with our 29 GenSend students as they draw their stay to a close and travel to the Send Conference next weekend where they will join over 13,000 participants on August 2-3 in Nashville. Pray for the follow-up of their work and the movement of the Spirit in the conference to call out hundreds to live life on Mission.

This week as we pray for the Summer Youth Celebration and the over 150 young people who will travel to Gordom Lake the last week in August. Pray that God would transform lives during these days and draw these young people deeper into a relationship with Jesus Christ that will guide them to a lifestyle of mission.

Pray these words over our cities…

This week as you spend time in personal prayer may we ask you to pray for the leaders of our region to receive this portion of Scripture and allow it to transform their lives as they become obedient to this teaching.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;  wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.

Psalms 51:7=13 ESV

We thank you for praying for the items listed on this pray bulletin whenever you have the opportunity to pray. As we continue to plant all kinds of churches in all kinds of spaces for all kinds of people, we invite you to join many of us each day at 10:02 am/pm, as we pause briefly wherever we are to pray for God to call out workers for the harvest in the manner of Luke 10:2.
