Joel 2:12 “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
A group of men in our association are fasting and praying starting Tuesday evening after dinner at 6:00PM. Some of our team will fast until Wednesday at 6:00PM and the rest of us will continue our fast until Thursday at 6:00PM. We will be praying as follows:
- Spiritual awakening of our churcheslocally and nationally that are called by His holy name (both in and outside our association)
- Christian men to have a renewed relationship with Jesusand a passion in sharing their testimonies concerning their experiences and walk with the Lord.
- Our Canadian leaders in government at all levels, to govern according to Godly principles.
- Gods protectionfor our churches and church families.
- Our church leaders(pastors, elders, deacons, lay leaders)
- Spiritual and numerical growthof our churches and small groups
Will you join with them until we hear from the Lord? You can join many of us in praying at 10:02 am and pm over these things and the concerns the Father brings to mind
We are joining Jeff Thompson, a grateful father, in praying with thankfulness for the healthy birth of Lauren Jubilee Thompson! 8lbs, 21.5″. Wife Charlene is doing great. Please continue praying for the ministry of New Hope Church to the children and youth in the church as their key leaders for these ministries will be taking a break to give birth to new members of their families. Ask the Father to call out those that could help this summer.
We are joining Garrett Holmes in praying for the members of his family as Garrett’s cousin, Chad, went home to be with the Father on Saturday, April 30th. Funeral services are pending. Pray for the comfort of the Spirit as Garrett will not be able to join the family during these difficult days due to issues related to immigration.
We are joining Next Gen Vancouver in celebrating their first parent/Baby dedication this Sunday, May 1st. Pray for families to be drawn to this new congregation in Port Moody.
We are praying with thankfulness for the Bethel Romanian church as over 200 gathered last Sunday evening for the celebration of their 10th anniversary as a church that began with 15 people and has grown to over 130.
We are seeking the Lord about adjustments that we will need to make in order to join the activity of God in supporting workers Go is calling out to launch a new work among the people of India and Pakistan. We are working with three(3) called out into the harvest to reach these people groups. Pray for wisdom in the placement and resources need to come alongside these workers.
We are praying that God will call out volunteers locally as well as a mission team to help with the summer camp being prepared in Surrey by Gateway Baptist Church on July 18-21. We are asking for teams who can join us in a variety of places on July 1st to increase the witness in reaching people through our different Church plants, specifically the Common Place.
We are praying thankfully for the couples who experienced a time of refreshment and encouragement in their walk as they attended the annual Oasis at Barnabas. We are thankful for the wisdom and insights from the scripture and life shared by Cam Roxburgh and the Taillons.
We are praying for the sale of the home of Ashley and April Austin in Biloxi this week. They have been force to make double payments on houses for over 5 months. Pray for the Father’s favour in this effort and also for location of a new place in Victoria for them to live that is close to the Canvas site.
This week we have been praying with the people of Origin Church as they seek for a solution after hearing they will loose their office and storage on campus. Here is the latest update: Thanks so much for praying. The Lord must have another plan for us to prepare for. We did not get the office space or any other storage space that is going to be workable. So, this Sunday after our worship gathering we will pack out the office and farm out all the items we use for the weekend gathering to other places. Keep praying for us. We are trusting and asking the Lord to do great things among the people and students of UBC! Grace, Craig
We are praying for the one day Evangelism conference, “I Am Ready” next Saturday, May 7. Pray for the anointing and empowering of the leaders who will be guiding the conference and pray for the Father to reveal His activity in our city and in those that attend in order for all of us to adjust to His revealed invitation.
We are praying for the Kelly Manire Family as they move to Abbottsford on Sunday afternoon, May 1st. A team from Regeneration Church is supporting them. They will hold their first gathering on Sunday evening in the home among the boxes. Pray for God’s blessing as they launch the ministry of Movement Church in Abbottsford
We are praying for the Lord to open the eyes of the potential partners who will come to our city for the BGCT Vision tour beginning Monday, May 2. We are praying they will see where God is active and the Spirit will confirm the ways each person in the tour can take the next step in reaching Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
